We shouldn’t view Good Friday service as a funeral where we remember a dear loved one who has passed away. Jesus died on the cross but on the third day, He rose again showing Himself victorious over the power of sin and death! He is alive and in Heaven watching over and taking care of all of us until He returns!
Good Friday is an opportunity to reflect on the sacrificial love of God for us through Jesus Christ!
Jesus loves you so much and wants to be with you so much that He went through the most painful death and humiliation known to humankind.
We get together to share a sense of awe and gratitude for what Jesus has done for us.
If you don’t know much God loves you, Good Friday is a great opportunity to find out how far Jesus went to express His commitment to you by talking to a Christian friend or attending a church event this coming Friday and Sunday.
“Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him!” (Romans 5:7-9)
